I’ve just had a couple of text messages to my ‘3′ mobile phone saying:

FreeMsg: We have you listed as a In-active user, Please text ‘Live’ back to us on ‘81456‘ or your service will be suspended.

Notice the poor English “.. a In-active..” and “… user, Please..” a capital letter after a comma. In the from bar, they put your service provider like ‘3′. And because this is in your contacts as default, it’s easy to presume it’s from your mobile phone service provider. IT IS NOT.

Replying to this text will cost £3.50 each text, it is a premium rate text service. They will send a second message:

You are now Live! details have been forwarded to your email account, thankyou once again. Full T & C apply, please see your email for detials.

Again, very poor English grammar and poor spelling.

Then they send you another like the first saying that the user,

..must respond only to ‘81456‘ with the text ‘Live’ failure to do so..

So, in effect you are sending a second premium rate text to 81456. Now they have charged £7.00 to your mobile phone account bill.

If you have been a victim of this scam, you need to contact your phone’s service provider immediately. If you do get one then ask your provider for advice.

On the BBC Production Trainee Scheme, 19 exceptional individuals will soon discover that everything we do begins with great ideas. The scheme is a career path for creative people. It’s 18 months of face-to-face training, online learning, and placements on real programmes and projects in TV, radio and new media. By the end of it, you’ll be able to tell a good story and have the skills you need to turn ideas into reality. What’s more, you’ll have absorbed a wealth of experience thanks to mentoring from a senior BBC Manager. But make no mistake, we’re looking for the ‘brightest and the best’; the people who will inspire great ideas and become the star content-makers and commissioners of the future. So from the very beginning you’ll need to impress.

Start by visiting bbc.co.uk/jobs/pts If you don’t have internet access, call 0870 333 1330 or email careers@bbchrdirect.co.uk - Closing date for applications: 6th April 2008.

Where would we be without great ideas?

Open wide your wallet, if you’re on Incapacity Benefit, when you first visit an NHS dentist. But why? Because this Government has made it more difficult for us genuine Incap claimers to get free treatment.

This is discrimination!

When I eventually found a “willing participant” (NHS dentist), they go and hit a nerve by extracting £15 from my wallet for sitting down for 2 minutes. But I’m on benefits - I protested. The receptionist told me that this Government changed the rules. So that now, us Incap claimers have to apply for a free treatment certificate.

This meant that I had to pay £15 out of very little and go without just to satisfy a Government that wants to pay £160 per MP per day for just turning up at the Houses of Parliament. In real terms that is nearly my fortnightly money and they get that a day for doing nothing. Then they get paid £60,000 p/a for closing down a primary school in Hulme after promising not to, not policing our streets at night and taking money back off drug addicts that would probably steal the deficit or have to have another sex customer at 1am.

Then they wonder why crime as gone up! Why do MP’s dream of such demoralising schemes?

Can we pay this kind of MP £200 a day just to stay at home?

I asked the receptionist could they wait until I got the certificate. People on other benefits only have to tick a box and they can walk out. “No” was the reply. I had to pay £15 and then go beg outside McDonald’s, so I could feed my Council Tax demand and 3 utilities.

Did I complain? Too right!

When I did complain to Tony Lloyd MP, his secretary was very very arrogant and rude towards me. Next time I’ll have video evidence. She raised her voice and talked over the top of me when I was telling her what the problem was with this Government. Then she said that they are not the Government. Could have fooled me? Then she treated me with contempt. Me, a floating voting mail elector in their constituency, treated like sh**. But we voted her party in. Well, someone did. I tried to vote for someone else, but had a problem with the mail-voting system - I forgot to post it.

This is how we are treated by this Government, as 3rd class citizens. No free education at all - we have to beg for it. Free NHS by redemption & certificate. That’s how I see it.

1-in-5 they say. Good! That’s a 5th of the voters that can change the Government and bring about a positive attitude towards people who are sick and even more stressed by this discrimination.

Someone get me a Human Rights lawyer - please?

Did the earth move in Hulme? Either that or one of those heavy lorries came flying pass my flat in the early hours. At 0056hrs the walls of my flat rattled. The same experience I had a couple of years ago when the tsunami hit Asia.

If it’s not Hulme’s fault, then where on Earth was those plate tectonics rubbing each other up the wrong way? If a lorry can boom, boom, shake my room, then this was something bigger. If you get my continental drift? Maybe it was a minor tremor or old mining subsidence. I wonder if Russia was doing any underground nuclear testing?

We’ll see it on the news like the one last year that everyone was talking about for a day. Metro.co.uk Article You know the one.. of the morning of Friday 10th August (only because I looked it up).

The Manchester Evening News was quick by posting this on their website Earthquake rocks Manchester. According to their sources it was 4.7 on the Richter scale. Some reporter was up all night after he/she felt the ground beneath move. Come to think of it.. so was I

A whole bit of shakin’ goin’ on!

Anyways.. who moved my bed?
